About Us
The Fair Verona Shakespeare Company or FVSC, is a student-run company that performs works by William Shakespeare. The company was created in 2014 by Verona Area High School (VAHS) seniors Emma Ferguson and Graham Billings.
FVSC has expanded and now puts on two full productions each year. In order to continue running, the director(s) and tech director choose incoming high school seniors to take on the leadership roles for the following year. In addition to our full productions, FVSC members and alumni perform Shakespeare's scenes and sonnets at local events during the summer. The Summer Shakespeare program was started by former director Kelsey Pacetti in the summer of 2017. After a Shakespeare hiatus due to COVID during the 2020/2021 school year, director Lily Frye led a small group in performing different Shakespeare scenes in spring 2022. The following school year, Lily Frye and assistant director Sydney Jackson decided to fully bring back Fair Verona Shakespeare by returning to where is all started with a performance of Twelfth Night. Now celebrating its 10 year anniversary, Fair Verona Shakespeare Company performed its latest play, A Midsummer Night's Dream, led by directors Evan Owens and Ella Farritor. |
